Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 24
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00103d

This work describes a new carbon paste electrode modified by Sol-Gel-Au nano-particle (SGAN) in the presence of 2,2
-dihydroxy-1-naphthylidine-1
-naphthyl methyl amine (DNMA) as ionophore for determination of Al(III) by potentiometric method.
Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy for rapid identification of different types of paper for forensic application
Arnab Sarkar, Suresh K. Aggarwal and D. Alamelu,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 32
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00145j

LIBS was applied for rapid identification of paper of different origin, using a statistical analysis approach consisting of linear and rank correlation methodology.
Enantioanalysis of S-Ibuprofen using [5–6] fullerene-C70 and diethyl (1,2-methanofullerene C70)-71-71-dicarboxylate
Raluca-Ioana Stefan-van Staden,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 37
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00086k

[5–6] Fullerene-C70 and diethyl (1,2-methanofullerene C70)-71-71-dicarboxylate are used as chiral selectors for the construction of enantioselective, potentiometric membrane electrodes used in the enantioanalysis of S-Ibuprofen.
Optimization of Tribenuron-methyl determination by differential pulse polarography using experimental design
Soha Ahmadi, Alireza Ghassempour, Ali Reza Fakhari, Mehdi Jalali-Heravi and Hassan Y. Aboul-Enein,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 41
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00068b

Differential pulse polarography was applied for the determination of the herbicide Tribenuron-methyl. Various parameters affecting the reduction peak current were simultaneously optimized using experimental design.
Method for cadmium and lead longitudinal profiles determination in hair by solid sampling graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry
Cassiana Seimi Nomura and Pedro Vitoriano Oliveira,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 49
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00050j

This paper describes methods for the direct determination of Cd and Pb in hair segments by solid sampling graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. To distinguish endogenous and exogenous content, strands of hair were washed by using two different procedures.
Application of dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction combined with sweeping micellar electrokinetic chromatography for trace analysis of six carbamate pesticides in apples
Shuaihua Zhang, Chao Li, Shuangju Song, Tao Feng, Chun Wang and Zhi Wang,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 54
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00115h

A rapid and sensitive method for the multiresidue analysis of six commonly used carbamate pesticides in apples was developed by using dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction coupled with sweeping micellar electrokinetic chromatography.

Jigar Mehta, Kanhaiyalal Patidar, Vipul Patel, Nayan Kshatri and Niranjan Vyas,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 72
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00188c

A dissolution test for misoprostol tablets containing 200
g misoprostol (1% in hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) using a reverse-phase liquid chromatography is developed and validated.
Determination of piroxicam in pharmaceutical preparations by continuous-flow chemiluminescence
J. A. Murillo Pulgarín, A. Alañón Molina and N. Boras,
Anal. Methods, 2010, 2, 76
DOI: 10.1039/b9ay00191c

The method described is based on the recording of the whole chemiluminescence intensity-versus-time profile, based on stopped-flow chemistry; this results in high precision, simplicity and rapidity, it facilitates application to routine analysis.
