Abstract

The step-wise assembly of the high nuclearity cluster, {[NiII(H2O)5]6[CoIII(tmphen)2]3[FeII(CN)6]2}13+, is achieved by treating {[Co(tmphen)2]3[Fe(CN)6]2} with six equivalents of Ni(ClO4)2 in aqueous MeOH.
