The regioselective photochemical rearrangement of -[PNtBu]4

Henrike Bladt, Silvia Gonzalez Calera, Jonathan M. Goodman, Robert J. Less, Vesal Naseri, Alexander Steiner and Dominic S. Wright

The photochemical dyotropic (two-bond shift) rearrangement of the phosphazane cage -[PNtBu]4 ( 1) into the isomer -[PNtBu]4 ( 1) occurs via a multi-step radical mechanism; the structures of the and isomers are directly analogous to isovalent - and -As4S4 and P4S4.
