Ditopic binding of perchlorate anion to hexaazamacrocyclic hosts

Two structures of perchlorate with thiophene and p-xylyl based hexaazamacrocycles, have been determined by single crystallographic studies that show the ditopic recognition via NO bonds of 2.90 and 3.02 , respectively.
