Hydrogen bond directed open-framework of bis(bipyridine-glycoluril) phosphatocobalt(III) with solvent accessible void space§

Abstract

The self-assembled secondary building unit [Co(BPG)2(PO4)]·2H2O (1) with peripheral urea fused tectons having inherent hydrogen bond acceptor (O atoms) and donor (N–H atoms) groups results in a three-dimensional open-framework architecture with approximately 35% of solvent-accessible void space.
