Using a specifically designed functionalized organophosphonic acid, 5-pyrimidyl phosphonic acid (pyrimidyl = C₄H₄N₂), the synthesis and characterization of six coordination polymers, including a two-dimensional bimetallic, Cu/Ag, polymer are reported.
