Walnut-like CdS micro-particles/single-walled carbon nanotube hybrids: one-step hydrothermal route to synthesis and their properties

This work explores the synthesis of walnut-like CdS micro-particles (MPs)/single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) hybrids via one-step hydrothermal methods and their optical and optoelectronic properties. The mechanism of stable attachment to obtain a CdS MPs composite material is revealed. To overcome the specific problem of the short sensor lifetimes of electrochemical gas sensors resulting from that the electrolyte inside the sensor dries out over a period of time, we try to investigate the electrocatalytic reduction of oxygen in room temperature ionic liquid, n-hexyltriethylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([N6,2,2,2][NTf2]) at CdS MPs/SWCNT modified carbon screen-printed electrodes.
