Science And The Assembly 2011

The Royal Society of Chemistry' s seventh annual Science and the Assembly takes place in Cardiff Bay on Tuesday 24th May 2011 at the Pierhead Building and the Senedd.

This event is designed to develop closer links between the scientific community in Wales and the National Assembly for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government. 

Science and the Assembly is organised in cooperation with a number of sister societies and professional bodies, including the: 

  • Royal Society
  • Institute of Physics
  • Society of Biology
  • Campaign for Science and Engineering
  • Institution of Chemical Engineers
  • Society for General Microbiology
  • Geological Society  

This year's scientific presentations are based on themes heralded by the United Nations  International Year of Chemistry, such as climate change, energy, food, water and health.

The Pierhead Building: Scientific Presentations

5.45pm - 7.30pm
The Senedd: Buffet Reception with Assembly Members             

An Exhibition will be held in the Senedd, from 12.30pm to 7.30pm, a fantastic opportunity for scientific organisations to illustrate their work.
