About the Series
Supramolecular chemistry concerns itself with the structure and function of molecular complexes, formed by intermolecular bonding between two or more chemical species. This area has seen tremendous activity in recent years, exciting great interest in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and food industries, and materials science, owing to the diverse applications of these complexes. As a field still growing in stature, scope and potential, this series of monographs focuses on hot topics of relevance to the supramolecular chemist.
Each monograph is written in a highly readable style by an internationally recognized expert. There is an emphasis on explaining concepts and providing up-to-date information. High quality, colourful illustrations are included.
Generally, an author will be invited by the Series Editor to prepare a monograph on a given topic but potential authors should feel free to approach the Series Editor with suggested topics for the Monographs.
All correspondence should be addressed to: Professor Sir J Fraser Stoddart, FRS, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of California, Los Angeles, 405 Hilyard Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1569, USA.
