RSC Drug Discovery Series
The RSC Drug Discovery Series is a suite of professional reference books that will encourage learning in a range of different topics and provide understanding to scientists working outside their own areas of expertise. They will be of particular interest to advanced and postgraduate level students, medicinal chemists, scientists in pharmaceutical companies and university research chemistry department. The first titles in this series will be published in 2010.

About the Series
The Series
- will follow an idea through to totality with emphasis on learning and critical evaluation. The branding of the Series is that it represents the whole cycle.
- will include case studies that detail the discovery and development process associated with new chemical entities in a variety of different therapeutics areas. Each case study will highlight the process, issues and solutions discovered by the individual associated with the particular compound.
- will explore emerging technologies in medicinal chemistry that span the areas of synthetic technologies, screening methods and computational tools to help accelerate drug discovery programmes; new developments in drug design such as molecular transporters, biodistribution (CNS penetration, drug adsorption), ion channels and new targets; drug development; preclinical biology and pharmacology.
