Individual purchase

The individual purchase books offer the most scope for design impact in the RSC book series. They are primarily aimed at more mainstream audiences, and have to compete for attention with many general titles in bookshops.

The front cover will typically use a strong, graphic photograph, interestingly cropped. Choose images with a strong primary colour like those shown below.

Type is always set in Myriad, and the front cover should always carry minimal copy - typically just a strong lead title word/words, a short supporting strapline and the authors' name.

These books do not carry an RSC logo on the front cover, but do have a branding strip on the back cover. They also carry the special case of the logo on the book spine. Back covers use a set format to ensure continuity across this series and a consistent presentation of the RSC brand.

Please note that the registered charity number should appear on these materials unless approved by Neville Reed or Richard Porte.
