Colour palette
The primary colour palette consists of just 2 main colours - RSC blue and black - and a secondary palette of bright supporting colours. Colour plays a big part in delivering the RSC brand personality.
The amount of secondary colour used will depend on the form of communication and audience it is targeted at. Basic corporate materials (like a business card) may not require any secondary colours, but most materials will use them in some form: from a sparing use as a support 'splash' of colour, to the use of a selection of solid 'clashing colours' to deliver a bold impression (for a youth audience, for example).
The colour wheels below show some examples of selected colour palettes and their likely perception. The colours should be used at 100% as a general rule, although tints may be used for headline text or smaller areas of shading.
Please note that the registered charity number should appear on these materials unless approved by Neville Reed or Richard Porte.
