Area of clear space
It is essential to ensure that the logo is given an appropriate amount of space around it. A minimum clear area has been defined, that should be adhered to in all normal use of the RSC brand.
Calculating the minimum clear space is straightforward: the height of he letter 'R' taken from the RSC letterform defines the width of the clear space all around the RSC logo. Do not place any text, graphics or images within this area of clear space
There are often space pressures, but it is essential that this clear space rule is adhered to in all normal usage. For example, it is quite common for event promotion materials to carry several logos: it is important that these supporting logos do not interfere with the main RSC logo, and the clear space rules ensure this does not happen.
Please note that the registered charity number should appear on these materials unless approved by Neville Reed or Richard Porte.
