Contrary to the claim in reference 7 that there are apparently no examples of simple K phosphides structurally characterised, it has been brought to the authors' attention that one such complex has been reported (G. W. Rabe, G. P. A. Yap and A. L. Rheingold, Inorg. Chem., 1997, 36, 1900).
