On p. 785 in the original paper, DNA was illustrated in the wrong direction in Scheme 1B(b). The PNA–DNA duplex should be illustrated in the anti-parallel mode as shown in the corrected Scheme 1 below, not the parallel mode as printed in the original manuscript.
