The wrong compound numbers were used at the start of the 5th paragraph of the paper. In the first two sentences of this paragraph compound 5 should be compound 6. The sentences should read: "The mechanism for the formation of 6 requires some comment. It seems unlikely that 6 is formed through a sequence of reactions involving initial azirine hydrolysis followed by intramolecular aza-Michael addition."
