Ruthenium- and rhodium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of acrylamides with alkenes: efficient access to (Z,E)-dienamides

Chem. Commun., 2012, 48, 11232–11234 (DOI: 10.1039/C2CC36137J). Amendment published 17th January 2014.

After publication, we discovered that copies of the NMR spectra for some of the new compounds provided in the ESI had been manipulated by the first author to obscure peaks corresponding to minor impurities and solvents.

Unaltered spectra are included in the revised ESI. We declare that the changes do not affect any of the conclusions of the published communication, which has been confirmed by re-examinations conducted in our laboratory. We deeply regret that the chemical community was misled by this publication.

We also made some minor corrections in the revised ESI:

Page S8: [Ru]-catalyzed conditions, the amount of [RuCl2(p-cymene)]2 and acrylate were revised to “ [RuCl2(p-cymene)]2 (2.5-5.0 mol%, 0.0025-0.0050 mmol), KPF6 (20-40 mol%) acrylate (1.5-2.0 equiv, 0.15-0.20 mmol)”
Page S15: To be consistent with the 1H NMR, the 13C NMR of product 3ad in MeOD was included instead of CDCl3.
Page S20/S59: Data and spectra for product 3pa were mistakenly assigned to the corresponding n-butyl ester instead of the tert-butyl ester. The correct NMR copies and data assignment are included in the revised ESI.

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
