High Pressure Phase Transition in ZrW2O8
A schematic representation of the phase transition from cubic a-ZrW2O8 to orthorhombic g-ZrW2O8.  This phase transition leads to a tripling of the cubic cell parameter in one dimension.  One can describe the transition as involving the inversion of one in three pairs of 2(WO4) tetrahedra followed by a rotation of polyhedral units.  The increase in O and W coordination at the phase transition is not shown in this animation.
