The weighted R-factor wR and goodness of fit S are based on F^2^, conventional R-factors R are based on F, with F set to zero for negative F^2^. The threshold expression of F^2^ > 2sigma(F^2^) is used only for calculating R-factors(gt) etc. and is not relevant to the choice of reflections for refinement. R-factors based on F^2^ are statistically about twice as large as those based on F, and R- factors based on ALL data will be even larger. The crystal was very weakly diffracting as one can clearly see in the number of observed reflections (3360 observed out of 9287 measured reflections). As the data to parameter ratio should be roughly 10:1 we decided to apply an anisotropic refinement only for the metal and oxygen atoms, resulting in a parameter number of 423 and an already low data to parameter ratio of 8 : 1. If we try an anisotropic refinement for all non-hydrogen atoms (788 parameters) the ratio gets much worse (4.2 : 1), which is unacceptable even though the R-values increase (0.0347 instead of 0.0406) and only seven ellipsoids are npd).The low scattering power of the crystal is also the reason for the low theta (max), reflections were only observed to a theta (max) of 22.5\%.
