In the above article the concentration was unfortunately incorrectly expressed. This systematic error can be rectified by replacing all the "µg g^-1" expressions throughout the article sections by "mg g^-1". The uranium solution used for the overnight staining was given as a concentration of 1000 µg g^-1 and should be replaced by 10 mg g^-1 in the sections "Sample and sample preparation" and "Results and discussion". The authors apologize for any confusion this mistake may have caused, and are grateful to those readers who drew their attention to the error.
