In the abstract, in the sentence beginning ‘We have explored the possibility of...’ the phrase ‘...graphene in low vacuum (1 × 10^-10 Pa) air...’ should be ‘...graphene in low vacuum (1 × 10^-1 Pa) air....’. The corrected sentence should therefore read as follows:
‘We have explored the possibility of using our approach to grow graphene in low vacuum (1 × 10^-1 Pa) air instead of inert Ar atmosphere.’

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
