T cell chemotaxis in a simple microfluidic device

Francis Lin and Eugene C. Butcher

Lab Chip, 2006, 6, (DOI: 10.1039/b607071j). Amendment published 19th September 2006

The sentence before ref. 27 and 28 in the second paragraph of the Discussion section should read: 'For example, CLA+ T cells constitute a relatively small percentage of peripheral blood lymphocytes but are critically involved in skin diseases.'

The fouth sentence of the caption for Fig. 2 should read: '(C) The theoretical predictions of the gradient profile at the top (5.739 mm) and the bottom (6.261 mm) of the field are plotted together and are shown to be similar.'

'The speed of the cells in competing gradients is not affected compared to it in single CCL19 gradient, but is lower compared to it in single CXCL12 gradient' should be removed from the second paragraph (last sentence) under the subtitle 'T cell chemotaxis in competing chemokine gradients'.

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
