The authors would like to make the following addendum to their article:
During the processing of the manuscript, an article by Groeneveld and Slotboom (47) was brought to our attention, in which they have measured the stoichiometry of sodium and aspartate in proteoliposomes containing purified Gltph. Based on their measurements, they conclude that Gltph symports three sodium ions along with aspartate.
