================================= README.TXT ================================= All Authors: Mingcheng Yang, Marisol Ripoll Title: Self-propelled thermophoretic microgear General description: Example relization of two simulated hot microgears with rotation in opposite directions accompanied by thermal fluctuations. The gear and wall temperatures are respectively fixed as T_g = 1.5 and T_w = 0.5 in simulation units. The thermophilic and thermophobic microgears are respectively simulated by considering repulsive (n = 3, c = \epsilon) and attractive (n = 6, c = 0) Lennard Jones type of interactions, between the beads of the gear and the surrounding solvent. Description 1: c3sm52417e.mpg Thermophilic hot microgear displaying a forward motion, which is clockwise with this geometry. Description 2: c3sm52417e_2.mpg Thermophobic hot microgear displaying a backwards motion, which is anti-clockwise with this geometry.
