In the section ‘Preparation of Fe₃O₄@dye/SiO₂–PDEAEMA nanoparticles’ on page 2 of the article, the passage ‘The flask was immersed into liquid-N₂ bath, followed by evacuation and filling with Ar. The system was stirred in an oil bath at 50 °C for 24 h. The freezing–evacuating–filling process was repeated 3 times.’ is incorrect.

The correct passage should read as follows: ‘The flask was immersed into liquid-N₂ bath, followed by evacuation and filling with Ar. The freezing–evacuating–filling process was repeated 3 times. The system was stirred in an oil bath at 50 °C for 24 h.’
