Diamond Medal for Early Career Research

The Diamond Medal for Early Career Research is awarded triennially by Diamond and the RSC. It is open to all doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers or other early career researchers who have carried out research using Diamond's facilities in an area relevant to Chemistry and/or Materials Science.

General information

  • Run triennially
  • The winner receives 500
  • The winner will be invited to speak on their research at scientific symposia with Diamond and the Royal Society of Chemistry

Guidelines for Nominators

  • Nominations open on 28 November
  • Nominations close on 17 March
  • Both RSC Members and non-members can nominate for this prize
  • Nominees may NOT nominate themselves
  • Nominees should typically have less than 8 years of research experience following completion of their doctorate (at close of nominations)
  • Nominees must be nominated by a person who has a direct working relationship with the nominee (e.g. as a supervisor, colleague or collaborator)
