Launching our new careers campaign – Chemistry: Making The Difference
Our exciting campaign aims to inspire secondary school age children to study chemistry and pursue careers in the chemical sciences.
The bold campaign – based around a series of short videos – has been developed to engage today’s teenagers, a generation who are highly motivated by the issues facing the world, and more determined than ever to impact on them. We know that this group are ambitious for a career that is driven by a cause, wanting to make a difference to the world in which they live – locally a globally.
Through this new campaign, we are showing that studying chemistry can lead to just such a career – whether that means tackling climate change, improving technology, or contributing to medical advances.
Chemistry is the key to tackling the issues facing the modern world. This video series showcases the work that chemical scientists are doing to tackle these issues at the moment, as well as providing a glimpse into how chemistry could tackle future challenges.
We’re running the campaign on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat – please feel free to share our posts with the young people you know, as well as with their parents.
The campaign includes a new series of job profiles, which have recently been filmed with young people working in the chemical sciences. These profiles showcase the diversity of careers available if you study chemistry. Look out for these over the following months, and please get in touch with any ideas of careers you’d like us to feature.
