University of Gloucestershire annual prize
The RSC Bristol & District Section has awarded University of Gloucestershire student Ashley Twarog its 2019 Student Prize.
For her project Ashley, from the School of Natural and Social Sciences, studied the "Effect of Elevated Carbon Dioxide on Soil Microbial Biomass in a Mature Oak Forest"; this centred around assessing soil microbial ecology in relation, not just to CO2, but also to the potential limiting effects of phosphate.
Ashley received a cheque, book token, embossed certificate and congratulatory letter, for her outstanding performance.
