Education coordinator Kate Whetter led 10 member volunteers at the Royal Society of Chemistry stand and the Science and Technology Showcase at the University of Plymouth.
The showcase took place on 23–24 January 2019, and the aim was to raise students' aspirations in science and technology subjects – demonstrating how exciting STEM can be at A-level and in higher education.
The Royal Society of Chemistry stand involved hands on activities around 'Colourful Chemistry' and the International Year of the Periodic Table.
Over 1200 primary and secondary school and sixth form students attended with their teachers from 47 different schools.
One attendee said "This has really inspired me to do more science, thank you."
