Please note that the catalyst in the title should be RuCl₂(PPh₃)₃ and not RuCl₂(PPh₃) as published. Also the first sentence of paragraph 2 should read 'The effect of base in the iridium-catalyzed^10a and rhodium-catalyzed^10b,c,d,11 transfer hydrogenation has also been observed, but the role of the base has remained unclear.¹²'
