The authors have supplied the following experimental details for the synthesis of TiO2 colloidal solutions:

In three 250 ml beakers, 80 ml water, 20 ml ethanol, 20 ml acetic acid, and 1 ml nitric acid were mixed and stirred rapidly. To these, 5 ml titanium tetraisopropoxide (TIP) were added while stirring. The formed white suspensions were heated at different temperatures, namely 23 (room temperature), 38, and 58 ºC and vigorously stirred for 16 hours.
