We emphasize that the technique of using micelle-isolated fluorophores to control fluorescence and using dye Coumarin 343 (C343) as energy donor in micellar cores to enhance fluorescence was developed by Prof. Sohn and coworkers (Adv. Funct. Mater., 2008, 18, 2984), cited in c0cc04955g as reference 9, see page 2787. The PL spectra of sulforhodamine 101 (S101) before and after encapsulation with C343 demonstrated in the first part of c0cc04955g were previously reported in this Adv. Funct. Mater. paper, cited in c0cc04955g, see page 2788.
