Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2002, 4 (DOI: 10.1039/b201526a). Amendment published 27th June 2002

1. In Table 1 "10–12 ka/M–1 s–1" should be "10–9 ka/M–1 s–1".

2. In Table 1 the value of ka for dioxane which appears as "0.5" should be "1.9".

3. In Discussion section, 2nd paragraph "0.5 × 10 12 M–1 s–1 for dioxane/AcH, 2.2 × 10 12 M–1 s–1 in benzene/AcH and 2.6 × 10 12 M–1 s–1 in acetonitrile/AcH" should be "1.0 × 10 9 M–1 s–1 for dioxane/AcH, 2.2 × 10 9 M–1 s–1 in benzene/AcH and 2.6 × 10 9 M–1 s–1 in acetonitrile/AcH".

4. In Discussion section, 2nd paragraph "These values are much higher than the diffusion constant (10 9–10 10 L M–1 s–1) indicating that the interaction between norharmane and AcH exists in the ground state" should be "These values correspond to a diffusion-controlled process (10 9–10 10 L M–1 s–1)".
