Some closely related polymerisation reactions proceeding via boron catalysed polymerisation of allylic arsonium ylides (which is closely related to boron catalysed polymerisation of sulfur ylides, but which we initially disregarded because they result in C3 polymerisation instead of C1 polymerisation) should have been included in this review for the sake of completeness.1,2 Moreover, with these monomers sometimes also C1 polymerisation is observed, especially for the bulkier substituted allylic arsonium ylides.3
