The authors of the above paper wish to apologise that correct recognition was not made to the closely related work of Pramanik et al. (N. C. Pramanik, K. Pramanik, P. Ghosh and S. Bhattacharya, Polyhedron, 1998, 17, 1525) and that owing to an oversight reference was only made to the crystal structure determination.
The following paragraph should be inserted at the end of the Introduction:
During the review process of this paper the previous work of Pramanik et al. was brought to our attention. The work describes the synthesis, spectroscopic and electrochemical characterisation of [Ru(terpyridine)(phenylazopyridine)(L)] (L = Cl−/H2O/CH3CN/4-picoline), crystal structure of the complex where L = CH3CN and catalytic oxidation of water to dioxygen.7
