Dual-graphite chemistry enabled by a high voltage electrolyte

Energy Environ. Sci., 2014, (DOI: 10.1039/C3EE43333A). Amendment published 10th January 2014.

Twice in the text the electrolyte is incorrectly referred to as 1.7M LiPF6 FEC-EMC (4 : 6 w/w).
This should be 1.7M LiPF6 FEC-EMC (4 : 6 v/v).

The corrected sentences are shown below.

2nd page, 2nd column, line 9:

'Among the series of electrolytes evaluated was the formulation 1.7 M LiPF6 FEC–EMC (4 : 6 v/v) + 5 mM HFIP, the results of which are reported here.'

4th page, 2nd column, line 5 (Conclusion):

'The high voltage electrolyte based on fluorinated solvent, LiPF6 FEC-EMC (4 : 6 v/v) + 5mM HFIP supported the intercalation of PF6 at 5.2 V and demonstrates a capacity of 80 mA h g-1 on MCMB 10-28 graphite, while forming a protective SEI at a graphitic anode and supporting Li+ intercalation into CGP-G5 and CGP-A12 graphite at 0.20 V.'
