After the fifth sentence of Experimental section 2.2 (Preparation of the mesoporous electrodes) the following text should be added:

A mixed solvent of ethanol and water (1/1, v/v) was added to the meringue-like gel up to 10 mL in the total volume and sonicated by an ultrasonic homogenizer with a titanium horn (Nihonseiki Kaisha Ltd., US-300T, 300W) for 15 min by repeated cycles of 20 s irradiation and 20 s rest, resulting in a coating paste.
