The weighted R-factor wR and goodness of fit S are based on F^2^, conventional R-factors R are based on F, with F set to zero for negative F^2^. The threshold expression of F^2^ > 2sigma(F^2^) is used only for calculating R-factors(gt) etc. and is not relevant to the choice of reflections for refinement. R-factors based on F^2^ are statistically about twice as large as those based on F, and R- factors based on ALL data will be even larger. A number of atoms were refined with constrained bond lengths. Some zinc coordinated pyridine ligands were disordered over two positions and modelled as such at partial occupancies. The non-coordinated pyridine molecules were badly disordered and also modelled over two positions as satisfactorily as possible. The nitrogen atoms positions in these pyridine molecules could not be determined and were modelled as disordered carbon atoms. Hydrogen atoms were not calculated on one disordered pyridine molecule due to disorder. The nitrate was modelled at half occupancy and is presumed to be either protonated, or interacting with either a protonated pyridine solvent molecule, or an H3O+ through hydrogen bonding. The density for the intra-capsule pyridine molecule was modelled over 24 positions at partial occupancy of 0.25. For the above reasons, the calculated and reported formulae are inconsistent. There are a number of impossibly close contacts found when the cif file was checked for errors.
