Beyond ethylmalonyl-CoA: The functional role of crotonyl-CoA carboxylase/reductase homologs in expanding polyketide diversity

Micheal C. Wilson and Bradley S. Moore

Nat. Prod. Rep., 2012, 29, 72–86 (DOI: 10.1039/C1NP00082A). Amendment published 12th December 2011.

On page 74, right hand column, line 4: "glycolate" should read "glyoxylate", so that the complete sentence reads "Ethylmalonyl-CoA (3) is further processed to glyoxylate to enter central metabolism or can be shunted into polyketide biosynthesis by providing butyrate units, as discussed below."

On page 76, left hand column, line 6: "Alber and coworkers" should read "Erb and coworkers", so that the sentence reads "The mechanism and stereochemistry of CCR’s reductive carboxylation and reduction reactions were ultimately established by Erb and coworkers with recombinant R. sphaeroides CCR.46"

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
