In Scheme 8 (p. 3436), compounds 37, 38 and 39 should be the Me-epimers. The corrected Scheme 8 is shown below.
In the text of the Results and discussion, on page 3436, right-hand column, line 4: “10%” should be corrected to “33%”, and line 6: “16%” should be corrected to “21%”.
In the Experimental, on p. 3441, left-hand column, line 7: “(2R,3S,4S)-” should be corrected to “(2R,3R,4S)-”.
