In the "Characterization methods" section, the following sentence is added:
"Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) was carried out using a Netzsch 242 DMA at a heating rate of 10 °C min-1 from 30 °C to 300 °C.

In the "Synthesis of benzoxazine monomers" section, the 13C-NMR shifts for –CH2–CH=*CH should appear as 39.5 ppm.

Before the "Results and Discussion" section, the following section is added:

Preparation of samples for DMA analysis
Synthesized benzoxazine monomer (Bz-DDS) (5 g) was dissolved in THF (10 mL), stirred for 30 min at room temperature and further stirred for 5h in open air to evaporate most of the THF. The solution was poured into the mould and cured at 100 °C for 1 h, 150 °C for 1 h, 200 °C for 1 h and then post cured at 250 °C for 1 h. The cured samples were red coloured with 3mm thickness. A similar procedure was adopted for the other benzoxazine monomers (Bz-SUL, Bz-OXY and Bz-PHE).

In the "Results and Discussion" section, the following changes should be made.

The sentence beginning "The peak at 55.9 ppm..." is extended to read "...are assigned to CH2=CH–CH2– allyl carbons, in which the peak at 39.5 ppm overlaps with the solvent peak.

In the paragraph beginning "The limiting oxygen index...", the LOI equation should be displayed as:

LOI = 17.5 + 0.4 (char yield)

An additional paragraph before the "Conclusions" section is added:

The dynamic mechanical properties of polybenzoxazines are shown in Fig. 8 and 9. There are a number of important material parameters that can be derived from the DMA data. The initial storage modulus E' of a solid sample at room temperature provides a measure of a material’s stiffness under shear deformation. As can be seen in Fig. 8, the initial storage moduli of the polybenzoxazines are 5.1 GPa for PBz-DDS, 4.5 GPa for PBz-SUL, 4.1 GPa for PBz-OXY and 5.3 GPa for PBz-PHE, whereas the storage moduli at 50 °C are 4.7, 4.3, 3.8 and 4.9 GPa, respectively. In addition, according to the tan delta plots of the polybenzoxazines in Fig.9, it can be found that the Tg values are 130 °C for PBz-DDS, 139 °C for PBz-SUL, 119 °C for PBz-OXY and 143 °C for PBz-PHE.
