Consultancy Group
The Consultancy Group, previously known as the Chemical Consultancy Forum, was formed in 1990 by the Professional Affairs Board (now the Professional and Membership Board, PMB) to provide a forum for RSC members who are consultants either full-time or part-time. Members may be self-employed, in partnerships or employed by commercial organisations or academia (see Objectives). Many of the members of the Consultancy Group also act as Expert Witnesses in criminal and/or civil litigation.
The Group continues to hold an AGM in May each year and this provides an excellent opportunity for members to network and to raise issues that may be relevant in terms of usefulness, or concern, to other members. The Group also arranges Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events with topics suggested in response to surveys of the membership. Suggestions for topics are always welcome.
Many of the members have entries in The Directory of Consulting Practices. This directory is administered by the RSC and is only available online.
We also give members access to some of the material that has been presented at meetings of the Group.
Notice to all Members of the Group
In future, all communication with the members of the group will be directly by email or by posting notices on these web pages. If you wish to be contacted directly, and you have not given your current email address to the RSC on the latest Membership Renewal Form, will you please contact the List Manager. Thank you.
The Consultancy Group was involved in the preparation of the RSC Guide to Consultancy. This publication is free for RSC members and costs £25 for non-members
