The Group, launched in January 2001, is a cross-Divisional Group of the RSC affiliated to the Science and Technology Board.
It is recognised that fluorine chemistry pervades all aspects of chemical research and that there is a major industrial base in fluorine chemistry. The Group runs an annual postgraduate meeting and is the co-sponsor of meetings with other groups and organisations.
The Group plans to disseminate information via FluorNet, an Email-linked network for all Group members which should be available soon.
