Macro Group UK
The Macro Group UK, a joint venture between the RSC and the Society of Chemical Industry, represents the polymer community in the UK alongside the Polymer Physics Group, affiliated to the RSC and the Institute of Physics
It has around 650 members from academia and industry, spanning the entire career range from student to Emeritus Professor. Its activities include:
- organising a range of meetings and conferences
- providing funds in support of student attendance at conferences
- awarding medals * for outstanding contributions to polymer chemistry
- disseminating information to members via its Bulletin and web pages
The benefits of Group membership are many, including:
- advance notice of relevant meetings and conferences
- book discounts from leading publishers
- reduced registration fees for meetings
How to join Macro Group UK
If you are currently a member of the RSC or SCI then joining the Macro Group couldn't be simpler. Contact the Membership Department of the parent organisation and inform them that you wish to join Macro Group UK. This will involve a nominal fee for RSC or SCI members.
Polymer Colloids Forum
The UK Polymer Colloids Forum (PCF) was set up under Macro Group UK in 1993 with the aim of expanding UK academic activity in the field of polymer colloids.
