Management Group


The Management Group is the largest of the specialist interest groups and sectors in the Industry and Technology Forum with a membership of over 1600. The Group has been established over 20 years and its activities and finances are managed by a Management Group Committee and monitored by the Industry and Technology Forum Executive Committee. Regular communication with members is via a Newsletter and personal contact also takes place at events organised by the Committee. 

Purpose

The Management Group's activities aim to facilitate communication between chemists to improve their performance, influence and contribution within their organisations. To meet this aim the Committee organises symposia, workshops and other events which provide opportunities for sharing experience, best practice and training on management issues of particular relevance to chemists and organisations employing chemists.

Collaboration

Priority is given to working with other RSC Divisions, Groups and Sectors and also outside organisations so that appropriate expertise is used in the organisation of events and the review and analysis of current management issues.

Newsletter

Management News is issued twice a year with reports of meetings, details of future events,articles considered to be of interest to members and hot topics on which the Committee calls for input from members. The Editor of the Management News is always pleased to receive letters, book reviews, reports of interesting visits and events, and contributions on topical issues.
