Materials Chemistry Division

The Materials Chemistry Division (MCD) is open to all RSC members and provides a society wide grouping for all members working in the interdisciplinary field of Materials Chemistry. It aims to promote Materials Chemistry as a key area that underpins many fundamental aspects of science and technology.

The Division provides a home within the RSC for members from any of the present divisions with an interest in the properties, function or processing of materials; from solid state, photonic and nano-materials to polymers, liquid crystals and soft solids.

The Division organises a range of activities including the series of Materials Chemistry conferences, supports regional meetings, and works with other Divisions to arrange Discussion meetings.
