Within the membership are representatives from most European countries, as well as North America, Asia, Australia and South Africa.

The UK Mössbauer community is distinguished in its use of a wide range of isotopes, including 57Fe, 119Sn, 121Sb, 125Te, 151Eu, 193I and 197Au.

Members of the group have many strong contacts with industry.
