Professor Brett Paull

Editor-in-Chief

Following the award of his PhD from Plymouth University in 1994, Dr Paull began his academic career within the School of Chemistry, University of Tasmania.  From there Dr Paull moved to Dublin City University in 1998, where he held the position of Associate Professor of Analytical Science, and the Director of the Irish Separation Science Cluster (ISSC).  He has recently returned to the University of Tasmania to take up a Professorial post within the Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS), based within the  School of Chemistry.

His research interests are based within the fields of analytical, bioanalytical and environmental chemistry, particularly fundamental and applied aspects of separation science, including new materials and technologies for application within high-performance liquid and gas chromatography, ion chromatography and capillary electrophoretic based methods, coupled techniques and micro-fluidic platforms. Dr Paull is author and co-author of more than 130 published papers, reviews and book chapters in the above fields, and recipient of a number of scientific awards, including the RSC SAC Silver Medal in 2005.
