Challenges in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology (ISACS7), 12 - 15 June 2012, Edinburgh, UK

Legionnaires' disease in Edinburgh

ISACS7 delegates may already be aware of the recently reported cases of Legionnaires' disease in Edinburgh.

Delegates may wish to check the website of the Scottish Government, which is issuing updates on a regular basis. NHS Lothian is also releasing regular updates via its home page (see 'Latest News' section). Links to both websites can be found a the bottom of this page.

As with all RSC events, we would encourage all delegates to ensure that they have arranged adequate travel insurance prior to making their journey.

Challenges in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology will be the first event in the International Symposia on Advancing the Chemical Sciences (ISACS) series in 2012.

Organic chemistry is a core area of chemistry. Fundamental research in synthesis is leading to innovation through process improvement and invention of new types of transformations. Novel procedures can create the new substances which society needs to develop.

The Scientific Committee warmly invites you to take part in ISACS7 and looks forward to welcoming you to Edinburgh.

The conference will bring together exceptional researchers - all leading names in their field - for an outstanding plenary programme, complemented by contributed talks and extensive poster sessions.
