BNASS 2011 postponed

16th BNASS Postponed

During the last six months the BNASS organising committee have been working exceptionally hard to arrange an exciting meeting in a first class setting. Despite attracting excellent key speakers and commercial sponsorship, and extensive publicity, it has been disappointing to have received a surprisingly small number of registrations.  With great reluctance, therefore, we have decided that it would be unfair to you, to other presenters and sponsors to continue with the meeting in July.  It is with regret that we announce the postponement of the 16th BNASS originally scheduled for 12 - 14th July, 2011, which will now be held in July 2012.

We know that some people will have made arrangements for travel and accommodation and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this decision will cause.  We would ask though, that you take advantage of any travel insurance you may have, or possibly to defer the validity of tickets until next year.  We will of course be working with people on an individual basis to reduce or eliminate cancellation penalties or lost of payments to ensure no financial losses are incurred.  Therefore, please forward any claims to the Secretariat via the contact pages of the website.

Conference registration and University accommodation fees will be refunded, or individuals may request that their registration fee be used for the 2012 conference.  

We are sure you will appreciate that this decision has not been taken lightly.  The BNASS meetings have developed a considerable reputation for excellence over several decades and it would be wrong to prejudice that reputation in 2011.  The organising committee have personally invested considerable time and energy and will be making every effort to make the next meeting a success.
